Meditation: The Art of Returning to God

Hi, I’m David, and today I want to talk about something that’s been quietly guiding my life for decades… even before I really knew what it was.

Back in 1977, when I was a freshman in college, I saw a small ad that said: “Learn Transcendental Meditation – $50.” None of my friends were interested. But something in me said: Do it. I didn’t understand why. I just knew it mattered.

And now, decades later, I understand why: Meditation is the moment we stop running the show… and return to the awareness that was always here.

What Is Meditation?

Meditation isn’t about “doing” something. It’s about undoing—undoing the illusion of control, the illusion of being the thinker, the illusion of separateness.

Meditation is the art of remembering what you are: a still, silent awareness in which all of life appears. Thoughts come and go. Sensations rise and pass. But something deeper stays—and that is you.

Why Meditate?

Because the world is noisy. The mind is busy. And fear has a thousand disguises:

Stress
Overwhelm
Anxiety
Guilt
Shame
Anger
Meditation brings you into the only space where fear cannot survive: the present moment.

In presence, there is no future to worry about, no past to regret. Just breath. Just now. Just peace.

Benefits of Meditation (Especially for Fear and Stress)

Calms the nervous system
Lowers cortisol (the stress hormone)
Brings clarity and emotional balance
Restores connection to Source
Helps you observe thoughts without becoming them
Opens the heart to love, forgiveness, and truth
It’s not about escaping life—it’s about experiencing life fully, without distortion.

Different Ways to Meditate

Pick what resonates with you:

1. Silent Awareness
Sit. Breathe. Observe. Let thoughts rise and fall. Let everything be as it is. You’re not trying to get somewhere—you’re remembering you’re already home.

2. Mantra Meditation
Repeat a sacred phrase or sound, silently or aloud:

“I am”
“So-hum”
Your personal mantra
This centers the mind and carries you beyond thought into stillness.
3. Loving-Kindness (Metta) Meditation
Send loving wishes to yourself and others: “May I be safe. May you be peaceful.”
This practice melts fear into compassion.

4. Ho’oponopono Meditation
A powerful clearing practice: “I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.”
Repeat it and feel the fear programs dissolve.

5. Super Conscious Meditation
Doing Super Conscious Hypnosis with me helps you learn the state of Meditation.  The Super Conscious or Higher Self will help you to easily meditate.  Many tell me they can't meditate.  I am confident if you work with me with a unique Super Conscious Hypnosis Session you will have a much easier time meditating.  The sessions I lead, help you access the wisdom of your Super Conscious Higher  Self to clear fears, align your mind, and return to truth.

Is Meditation for You?

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed… If you’ve ever been afraid and didn’t know what to do.  If you’ve ever wondered if there’s more to life than just surviving, then yes, meditation is for you.

And if you’ve already tried, but felt like “you weren’t doing it right” that’s okay.

Because the truth is: You can’t do it wrong.

Just show up. Breathe. Sit. Notice. Trust.

A Closing Thought

I believe no, I know that Source prompted me to meditate in 1977. And Source is prompting me now to invite you to return to yourself, to remember what you really are:

Stillness. Love. Peace. Awareness.
God, pretending to be a person, finally remembering the truth.

Meditation is not an escape. It’s a reunion. A homecoming.
A way of saying, “I’m ready to stop doing, and just be.”

So… welcome back. You’ve never really left.
